We believe the Lake Mills golf course is integral to Lake Mills. We formed this association to fight the attempted rezoning of the golf course, to develop single family homes.
Our Mission:
To preserve the Lake Mills golf course as a permanent, community‑valued recreational asset and open space.

Educate stakeholders on issues that will affect the golf course and the Lake Mills Community.

Assist in finding an equitable set of options for The Ridge homeowners, the existing golf course owners, and new golf course ownership.

Foster community connection and support activities that bring together golfers, non‑golfers, and local businesses around this shared asset.
Protecting Our Asset
The golf course has been part of Legendary Lake Mills for nearly 100 years. It is an integral part of this community, like the lake, the trail, its parks and downtown. Both high schools, Lakeside Lutheran's and Lake Mills High School's athletic programs (boys and girls golf and cross country) depend on it. Local wildlife have made it their sanctuary.
We need the City to recognize the profound potential this property holds to be a successful golf course and clubhouse or supper club, which will continue to bring people and business to our amazing city. While growth is inevitable the City’s own 2040 Comprehensive Plan indicates there are other viable properties available to support this growth without sacrificing this valuable asset.
